Be BIGGER Not Bedazzled

Be BIGGER Not Bedazzled

Encourage the idea of taking TIME for the simple process of BEING HUMAN – getting our possessions, our time, and our thinking better-organized and how that leads to an abundance mindset. Share this and the idea that by doing it we can ALL begin to see the good things that we already/still have.

The Danger of Bedazzled Distractions Everywhere

We HAVE to get involved with texts, emails, posts, pins, tweets, likes, favorites, features, alerts, flashes, quick reads, promoted ads, suggested friends, comments, trending topics, numbered lists, banner ads, skims, news briefs, takeaways, FYIs, ICYMIs — and on and on it goes.

Things that “catch our eye” get sucked into our minds, then blown out again just as fast. Being bedazzled by ephemera – material that is transitory, fleeting, passing, short-lived, momentary, impermanent, short-term FLUFF! And there is SO MUCH to bedazzle us!

According to Statista.com, as of 2019, 500 hundred hours of YouTube videos are uploaded every minute.* Tech Crunch reported in 2014 that one new book is put up on Amazon every five minutes.** In 2020, digital consultant David Sayce reported that there are six thousand tweets logged per second.***

Life is wasted when we go down the distraction rabbit hole. We devour and swallow mountains of “stuff” without any thought of WHY we should – or SHOULDN’T care about it. Hour after hour we sit glassy-eyed gulping down details, ideas, and concepts that we trip over and have no earthly need to know

Reduce Your Addiction to Digital Distraction Media Messages About Consumption

Digital media has at its heart self-promotion and vested self-interest. We are endlessly enmeshed in THINGS, not living our own lives. Help yourself and others by sharing Coco Chanel’s line – “How many cares one loses when one decides not to be something but to be someone.” Work on being not viewing.
