Start Grateful Conversations

There are many things that all of us do or experience that make us grateful. Rather than talking about divisiveness and how it’s killing business/the country, what if we engage in conversations with customers – and everyone with whom we interact – to share the things for which we are grateful.

What we communicate can make a big difference in our lives as well as in the lives of others. If we’re having a bad day, who doesn’t want to hear a hopeful message? Many times, something positive that is shared rates a “that made my day” comment.

It’s good to hear something that could help to make your business more successful, or easier to run. Sometimes, the good news doesn’t need to be about business, but merely an affirmation about what we feel about our family or friends that makes our lives better.

Little Things Mean a Lot

When we get a simple business tip or shopping hint that gives us an “aha moment,” it can turn a dreary day into a good one. One old-time insurance agent became legendary when he started sending notes randomly to customers that just said; “I am glad I know you.” He believed it was the one thing that made him fabulously successful.

Good news, a happy ending to a potentially tragic situation – how many times has some very little thing been able to change our mood?

Remember the old saying “nobody wants to hear bad news?”  If you find something in your day that makes you feel like “it’s all worthwhile,” it’s important to share it. You might make someone else’s day too.

So, why not share YOUR gratitude for things with others?
